Profiling of Talented students

Postby Rob on Tue Dec 18, 2007 4:11 pm

The Partnership along with Sedgemoor and Tone SSPs are moving things forward with talent support by looking at the Cognitive, Creative, Social and Personal attributes of talented pupils. To do this we have piloted the process at the recent Multi Skills Academy at Millfield. If anyone is intersted in piloting this with thier pupils then I would be pleased to help

Cheers

My schools are keen to develop this form of profiling for the new transition document but they are struggling with the notion of assessing pupils with regards to cognitive and creative aspects. I have a PLT meeting coming up soon where I intend to go through possible activities teachers could do to help assess pupils.

I know there is level descriptors but my PLT's are after activities they could run to help with the assessment procedure. :?

HAs anyone go any good activities I could use to help Primary teachers asses each area?

Tom

Hopefully this Wednesdays training should go some way to providing some of the activities you are after based on the FUNdamental cards.
